The Rope Climb

The Captain has been compensated for this post by the good people at MilkPEP.  As a proud member of the Milk family, I am working specifically with The National Milk Mustache “got milk?” and the Protein Fight Club Campaigns.  Though I have been paid for this writing, it is my full intention to provide you with information and (attempts) at humor that you are accustomed to here at Tales From The Poop Deck.

It is week number three of The Captain’s tour of being a PFC Ambassador.  Last week I encouraged you to check out the free Milk giveaway. Did you enter?  Did you win? What?  You didn’t enter?  Go do it now.

This week, I want you to check out one of my favorite PFC videos – MILK Versus Breakfast Burrito.  In the competition, Milk mops the floor with the breakfast burrito in a rope climbing showdown.  This is a pretty appropriate analogy to the morning.  If you have ever gotten a family ready in the morning – or even just yourself, you know how crazy those early hours can be.  It is an uphill (or up-rope) battle, and once you get started you can’t just coast – you have to keep climbing.

The reason why Milk is a great choice to include in your morning breakfast is that it is a phenomenal source of energy.  You have heard me refer, multiple times, to the 8 ounces of protein and 9 essential vitamins.  Why not choose a glass of Milk that is going to fuel your day instead of a food that is going to weigh you down?

Need more information?  Here is the “Tale of the Tape” for the epic showdown between Milk and the Breakfast Burrito.

Breakfast Burrito Facts

Also be sure to check out the Nutrition Smackdown Report from David Grotto, the “Guyatition”.  Grotto is informative and humorous – I especially like how he flexes when talking about the calcium and vitamin D present in a single serving of Milk.

One of the hastags that runs on the ticker in the video is #MilkWins.  When Milk wins, you win your day.

In the meantime, I am going to contemplate what it would take to actually climb one of the those ropes.  I haven’t attempted that since college.  I just remember the best part of climbing was falling onto the over-sized mats in the practice gym.

But it felt pretty good when you reached the top of that rope.  It always made the struggle worthwhile.  Here’s to hoping that you reach the good end of your rope today – the top. Success.  Get started on the right foot with a balanced breakfast – including a glass of Milk.

That’s all for now, my friends.  For now…Captain out.
