It’s that time of year that people talk about resolutions, but that’s not where I am going. I have goals. There are a few things that I want to attempt in 2018. Some new adventures and some old ones. This Dadlete has a ton of Russell athletic gear and it would be a shame to have it just sit, right?

Here’s what I want to attempt in 2018:

I want to play in a softball league again – it’s been about 5 years since the last time I have played.

I want to enter a bike race – something fun and casual, but something to train for.

I want to throw the shot put one more time. Find an open meet and enter the ring to compete again. It’s been about 20 years since I last threw one competitively.

I want to play a round of golf. I’ve gone to the driving range, but have never played a single round.

I want to try my hand at archery. It intrigues me.

I want to try out one of those boxing classes. I have no interest in getting punched or punching, but I think the training portion would be fun.

I’ve talked a lot about what I want to do, but there’s one thing not on my list – running. I have no desire to run.

At some point I should learn how to swim, but I’m hesitant to put that one on the list.

At any rate, there are adventures on the horizon. This journey has been about getting active and staying as such. So I intend to continue make a list of adventures to pursue.

And what about you? What fun activities are you going to embark upon? Got a fun one? Tweet it at me or share it on my Facebook page. And if you are looking for some gear for your next adventure, be sure to check out Russell Athletic online (or at your local Walmart)!
